Well, in Tampa, the pedophile is a perfect looking psychopath in her twenties who thinks about sex with prepubescent teenagers nonstop. First, let it be clear th I’m not the kind of chick who judges a book by its icky content.
Like, mid-first chapter quickly. Miraculously saved but hideously scarred, soon tormented at school and at work, Matty becomes a wanderer, a seeker after some unknown redemption.
For all intents and purposes this book is a one star. He wanted me despite knowing what that meant about him.

My issue is not a knee-jerk reaction to the subject matter but more a reaction to nutging I think is inadequate writing. Diet Dennis Cooper shock grubbing for brain dead grade grubbers.
I’m no stranger to blunt inquiry or examination of proclivities but Tampa, unfortunately, suffers from the worst crime fiction like this can commit by making what could be titillating dull. Wrong email address or username. Think of “Gone Girl”, where you like none of the characters, but just made even more boring and with some 50 Shades of Grey-esque sentences thrown in there we have all read these horribly descriptive fanfictions with way too many adjectives I feel like a lot of the positive critique I’ve seen of this book has given it far more credit as a sophisticated social critique than it’s due.
This was obviously intended by the author – you can tell from the writing that this is not the work of a clumsy, well-intentioned writer.
Her husband, Ford, is rich, square-jawed and devoted to her. I received a copy When I requested this book I honestly thought I could handle it. In Tampa, Celeste seeks out the innocent.
What does this add to the basic Lolita story? Celeste must constantly confront the forces threatening their affair – the perpetual risk of exposure, Jack’s father’s own attraction to leziond, and the ticking clock as Jack leaves innocent boyhood behind.
And woman have certain tendencies, certain characteristics. What amazes me most is that a book like this is on bookshelves! I’m finding it hard to nuthing why I disliked this book so much without having it sound like I was just grossed out.
But the insatiable Celeste is remorseless. Not that there’s anything wrong with masturbatory fodder – I just like my intellect to be tittilated too! You can learn a bit about what elements need to come together in order for the perfect storm of means, motive, opportunity and desire to take place. But at the same time, this is a piece of art and it is supposed to stand well by itself. Don’t start with the crazy.

This is the most nuttong fetched story I have read outside of the letters to Penthouse magazine in the ‘s, it reads like one, only told from the seducers point of view rather than the one being seduced. I probably wouldn’t suggest this book to anyone. Overall, a pretty disappointing offering. It is not written badly. I mean, it was just so horribly erotic-ebook corniness that I couldn’t help but role my eyes.
